Cycling Tour around Myanmar
Tour Hight LightThis bicycle tour of discovery starts in Mandalay on the Irawaddy
River and follows near empty roads. We travel at ground level
through small villages stopping at loca l teashops, meeting the
locals along the way. In Mandalay we visit the ancient cities of Ava
and Mingun before riding alongside the Irawaddy River to Bagan.
Spend a mornig cycling among the thousands of pagodas, stupas, and
tempels that dominate a river valley. From Bagan we ride to Mount
Popa to visit the hill top temple, before riding into the cool Shan
hills.
Riding through the countryside, we will be greeted by friendly
people, who have had little or no contact with foreigners. In the
mountains we will encounter a variety of tribal people, as well as
enjoying the splendid colonial charm of Kalaw. After a ride through
patchwork fields to see the caves of Pindaya, we arrive at Inle Lake
The tour ends in Rangoon, or Yangon, where we visit the Shwedagon
Pagoda.Detail Program
Day 01 Arrive Yangon
Arrive at Yangon International Airport. Welcome by our tour guide.
Check into the hotel. Yangon sightseeing tour includes the old
colonial style city centre with the gilded Sule Pagoda, dating back
over 2,000 years. Bogyoke (Scots) Market with hundreds of stores and
of a gems shops. The tour continue to Chaukhtatgyi, a huge reclining
Buddha image, extended visit to Shwedagon Pagoda . Dine and
overnight in Yangon.Day 02 Yangon - Mandalay ( By Flight )
After breakfast, transfer to airport for domestic flight to
Mandalay. Check into the hotel. City sightseeing begins from
MAHAMUNI PAGODA with its spectacular Buddha image covered with thick
layers of gold leaves. In the afternoon, a short ride around
Mandalay finishing with a climb up Mandalay Hill. Overnight at hotel
in Mandalay.Day 03 Mandalay - Myittha 95km
Early ride to U Bein 's bridge, the longest teak bridge in the
world. Following back roads, ride through the ancient Ava Kingdon to
Kyaukse. In the afternoon we continue to the small town of Myittha
and overnight in the local monastery.Day 04 Myittha - Myingyan 83km
In the morning , ride the Irrawaddy basin villages. Finish the ride
in the busy junction town of villages and cycle amongst stupas and
temples on the way to Bagan. Enjoy dinner in the restaurants.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 05 Bagan
Bickers touch the perfect way to explore Bagan and to see the
typical Myanmar style of village life. Biking along the ancient
Bagan, Lunch and Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at hotel.
Day 06 Bagan - Popa 67 km After breakfast, start a bike to Popa passing small settlements
where men climb up the palm trees collect the juice of it to make
sugar or liquor. Mount Popa, an extinct volcano, has played an
important role in Myanmar culture, religion a history since the
earliest time. Its shrine is dedicated to the worship of the 37 Nats,
the Burmese ancient animist spirits. Then view over the Plain from
the top of the Popa Mountain. And then return to Bagan. Overnight at
hotel in Bagan.Day 07 Bagan - Kalaw 259 km After breakfast , start to enter Shan State trip and ride through
Thazi and see several smaller town before the steep, winding 25 km
climb to the hill station of Kalaw. Overnight at hotel.Day 08 Kalaw - Pindaya 52 km Down hill ride to Aung Ban. Head north to Pindaya .Riding around the
Shan Plateau, enjoying rural scenes. Arrive Pindaya , sightseeing in
famous Pindaya Caves.Day 09 Pindaya - Nyaung Shwe 73 km This way is leading to Inle Lake. Cycle inland to Ngwe Shwe ,
located at the north of the lake. And then proceed to Inle by boat.
Overnight at hotel.Day 10 Inle Full day sightseeing in Inle Lake. Visit the five day market,
floating gardens, jumping cats monastery and Intha fisherman.
Overnight at hotel.Day 11 Heho - Yangon Transfer to Heho airport and fly back to Yangon. If you have time
sightseeing in Yangon.Day 12 Departure

Free program in morning and then transfer to airport for departure.
